Rating usage charter

Rating usage charter

Version of 29 October 2026

A Tilka rating is only worth something if it can be trusted. This charter sets out what a company may do with its rating, depending on whether it has been verified.

It applies to any use of the assessment tool on tilka.ch. For paid services, it forms part of the terms and conditions.

1. Two levels, two uses

Indicative ratingVerified rating
HowFree self-assessment based on figures entered by the company, without checksFigures checked by Tilka against supporting documents
UseInternal: know where you stand, prepare your data, set targetsInternal and external: customers, banks, tenders, website
DurationNo external value12 months from the report date
Third-party checkNot possibleVerification code and public register

2. With an indicative rating

You may pass on the free report as it is, for example the B1 to B11 data a customer asks for, provided the “Unverified self-assessment” notice remains visible.

You may not:

  • feature the indicative rating in external communication: website, social media, quotes, tender responses, packaging or advertising;
  • use the Tilka name, its logo or the A to E label to present your company;
  • remove, hide or alter the “unverified” notice in the report.

3. Sharing a verified rating

While it is valid, a verified rating may be shared freely, provided you always state:

  • the letter and the “verified” level;
  • the financial year concerned;
  • the verification code.

Example: “Tilka rating B, verified, financial year 2025, code TLK-2026-0001”.

The rating covers the company and the scope stated in the report. It does not extend to other group companies or other sites. Do not suggest that it is an audit, a certification or an official label: it is a document-based verification using a published method.

4. Public register

Every verified rating is listed in the public register on tilka.ch, with company name, town, letter, financial year, code and expiry date. Detailed figures are not shown. By ordering a verification, the company agrees to this listing.

5. Withdrawal

Tilka may withdraw a verified rating and mark it as withdrawn in the register if information or documents provided prove inaccurate, if this charter is not followed or if the service is not paid. The company then stops using it within 30 days.

6. Name and label

The Tilka name, its logo and the A to E label are distinctive signs of S. Potet Advisory. They may only be used as set out in this charter.

7. Report misuse

Have you seen a Tilka rating that is not in the register, or an indicative rating presented as verified? Write to us. We treat every report confidentially.
